Safe in your living room Enshrined in the Sunday gloom. The light dances, scattered from your TV screen. You’re restless when the news is on The world’s not in its final form Evolution’s held up somewhere in between. But don’t be afraid ‘cause soon the day we hoped would come, will come Where the plans that we made will bring us all together in the sun. In the sun Will bring us all together in the sun. ‘Til then I’ll just remind you Hold tight the light will find you I know that you’re inclined to wall away your heart. Don’t stop to look behind you Hold fast the past can blind you Don’t be the kind of child who walls away their heart. Terror on a Monday morn Another day of work is born Your fragrant coffee wafts around the room. You’re tired of the daily grind You want to leave that world behind To smell the roses whilst they’re still in bloom.

The desert of my dreams Has never felt so desolate And everyone, it seems Has found a way to make the best of it. But I was never known For the way I figured things out on my own And so, until I go I’m living for today It seems the only way To make my world go round. I’m not entirely sure But it seems a little more Before I reach the ground. Beneath the harvest moon I contemplate my destiny Will I see you soon? Or must I wait eternity? But I was never known For patience, endurance, alone. I can’t do this without you. But I’m living for today It seems the only way To make my world go round. I’m not entirely sure But it seems a little more Before I reach the ground. Oh, the sunrise comes screaming overhead But last night, I couldn’t face an empty bed. Oh, the sunrise comes streaming overhead But last night, I couldn’t face an empty bed.

about

The soundtrack to Spiral To The Center has been a year in the making.
A year of writing, arranging, and recording with a slew of talented musicians across the world and on my doorstep. Much like the film itself!

Much like Rick, I steeped myself in the music of the 1970s, listening to Prog Rock, Krautrock, New Age and beyond. No doubt you'll hear the many artists and bands that inspired me in these tracks.

Huge thanks to: Zoey Cairns, my collaborator in music. Alisa Stern, my collaborator in film. My family, for putting up with hearing these tunes for a year. Caden Elliott, you know why. Pottsi and Craig, for the jams. And everyone that contributed to the Indiegogo campaign that helped make our film and this album possible.
